The City of Winston-Salem holds many outdoor events to gather the community during the year, including Rock Out the Quarry.

How about going back in time? Gather friends and family for the Old School Block Party from Thursday, Aug. 1 through Saturday, Aug. 3. Mark these dates on your calendar to watch these bands play:

Performances will run from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Corpening Plaza (231 W. 1st St.). Shop from local food trucks like African Ave. LLC, Taste Jamaica, Tony’s Italian Ice, and Wutyasay.
Got a teenager? “Teentastic” will also be in full swing on Friday Aug. 2 and Saturday, Aug. 3 at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds starting at 7 p.m.

The family friendly event will feature fashion shows, dance groups, plays, carnivals, and games. “Teentastic” will run through midnight on Saturday.
