The sixth Ardmore Art Walk is happening Saturday, Nov. 4 — and organizers tell WStoday it’s expected to be the biggest one yet. It only happens once a year so this is your chance to check out + buy works from more than 100 local artists. The event is happening from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Here’s what else you need to know:
What is Ardmore Art Walk?
The outdoor event only features artists who have some connection to the historic Ardmore neighborhood. There’s an application process and only creators who design and sell handmade goods are allowed to display their works in yards throughout the neighborhood.
John Coyne will sell watercolors at 634 Irving St.
DOSE Artist Collective is in charge of live music. A stage at Ardmore Baptist Church (501 Miller St.) is a central location where six musicians and groups will perform throughout the day. There are also two musicians who will be set up along the route on Elizabeth Avenue + Rosewood Avenue.
The food truck area will be adjacent to the stage, with several local vendors set up to serve everything from tacos to sweet treats.
Emily Flores Ceramics will sell pottery at 603 Miller St.
You don’t need a ticket and it’s free to park and walk around. If you don’t want to park on the street, you have other options — including Ardmore Methodist Church (630 S. Hawthorne Rd.), Ardmore Moravian Church (2013 W. Academy St.), and Miller Park (400 Leisure Ln.). Make the most of your day with these pro tips:
Wear comfortable shoes and prepare to get your steps in
Bring cash and credit cards — some artists only accept one form of payment
