If you want a meal that tastes homemade without most of the hassle, you’re in luck. These local kitchens are whipping up meals you can grab on the go, just heat + serve.

Buie’s Market, 749 N. Avalon Rd.

The shop has frozen offerings from local establishments, like A Full Measure Catering. You can also order online for quick pick-up.

Five Loaves Catering, 710 Coliseum Dr.

This hidden gem has frozen soups and other offerings that vary daily. The storefront is closed, so you’ll need to call 336-721-1115 to inquire about what’s available.

Midtown Cafe and Dessertery, 151 S. Stratford Rd.

Pop in to pick up a chicken pie or quiche, but you’ll need to call ahead if you want to take home a whole pie or cake.

Mrs. Pumpkin’s, 3645 Reynolda Rd.

Stop in and pick up a Moravian chicken pie, soup, or other family dinner. Grab some rolls + baked goods to compliment your meal and don’t forget a dessert.

Entrees, sides, and desserts vary in size depending on how many people you’re feeding. Meat-based + vegetarian options are available, and you can take home items that are frozen or just need to be heated.

Southern Home & Kitchen, 200 S. Stratford Rd.

The freezer in the store is stocked with soups, dips, pizzas, quiche, and country ham rolls from Ladyfingers Catering.

The Porch Kitchen and Cantina, 840 Mill Works St.

When you’re craving enchiladas but don’t have time to dine in, visit the restaurant to grab a to-go meal from the freezer.

Expand Your Talent Pipeline | Thursday, Jan. 25 | 2 p.m. | Representatives from World Relief and other local guests will discuss benefits of refugee hiring. Learn how employers can create a successful experience for candidates through the hiring process.
