Winston-Salem may be home to the first Legacy Traditional charter school on the East Coast. The education system is seeking approval to open a K-8 school in the Twin City for the 2026-2027 school year. If approved, it would be the seventh public charter school in Forsyth County. The shopping center at 1456 River Ridge Rd. in Clemmons could see some changes soon. The new buyer of the 8.44-acre tract plans to redesign the shopping center, which includes re-striping the parking lot and adding new businesses. (Triad Business Journal)

NC Gov. Roy Cooper is working on a plan that will offer an incentive to roughly 100 hospitals in the state to forgive ~$4 billion of medical debt for low- and middle-income North Carolinians. If approved, consumers could see relief in 2025 and 2026. (ABC45 News)
