  • Winston-Salem may be home to the first Legacy Traditional charter school on the East Coast. The education system is seeking approval to open a K-8 school in the Twin City for the 2026-2027 school year. If approved, it would be the seventh public charter school in Forsyth County. (Winston-Salem Journal)

  • The shopping center at 1456 River Ridge Rd. in Clemmons could see some changes soon. The new buyer of the 8.44-acre tract plans to redesign the shopping center, which includes re-striping the parking lot and adding new businesses. (Triad Business Journal)
State
  • NC Gov. Roy Cooper is working on a plan that will offer an incentive to roughly 100 hospitals in the state to forgive ~$4 billion of medical debt for low- and middle-income North Carolinians. If approved, consumers could see relief in 2025 and 2026. (ABC45 News)
