Planning to take in competitive tennis at the Winston-Salem Open? We’re serving some pro tips to make your fan experience one to remember.

The basics

  • The men’s tournament runs Saturday, Aug. 17 through Saturday, Aug. 24.
  • All matches are played at the Wake Forest University Tennis Complex, adjacent to Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium. If you’re using GPS, plug in 499 Deacon Blvd.
  • The daily schedule is released the night before each day of play.

Getting there

There might be some traffic but you won’t encounter any road closures.

The main stadium parking lot is directly in front of the ticket offices and main entrance. Tournament organizers recommend entering from Deacon Boulevard near the front of McCreary Tower for easiest access. Parking is free.

Rideshare services can pull up to the main gate to drop off passengers. Meet your driver at the back of the parking lot when you’re ready to be picked up.

Legend is on left with icons. A blue, green, and gray map outlines the Winston-Salem open tennis courts and amenities.

You’ll learn your way around quickly with this in hand.

Getting inside

Gates typically open one hour before matches begin. Getting through should be a breeze as long as you follow the ticketing and bag policies.

Keep the tournament map handy so you know where you’re going.

What to bring

  • Cash is good to have on hand but vendors will accept cards + electronic payments.
  • Each guest is allowed to bring one reusable water bottle. There are hydration stations located around the complex.
  • Wear whatever you like, but hats and sunscreen are recommended for protection against the summer sun.
  • Don’t forget your Sharpie marker in case you score an autograph or two.

Don’t worry if you forget your Sharpie, you can buy one on site.

Enjoying the tournament

The venue promises views of the court from every angle, so don’t worry about getting the best seat in the house. Some tickets do offer closer seats to the action. The only way to guarantee a seat with friends is to purchase tickets in advance.

Be sure to check out new fan amenities and special events where you can score deals + give back.
