Meet Crisis Control Ministry’s Holiday Honor Cards program. Each holiday card purchase provides food, medication, housing, and utility assistance for those experiencing a crisis this holiday season. Here’s how it works:
  1. Choose from eight card designs by local artists.
  2. Make a tax-deductible donation of $5 per card.
  3. Pick up or ship your cards — or have the organization address and mail cards to your recipients.
  4. Help neighbors in crisis.

  • Votes are still rolling in for North Carolina in the general election. Check WFMY News 2’s election results if you’re watching the numbers.
Transit
  • Changes are coming to downtown parking. City Council approved raising rates of some spaces from 25 cents to $1.50, along with other fee increases. They also voted to approve a contract with PayByPhone to implement a mobile payment system. (WXII 12 News)

  • The 27040 zip code in Pfafftown is the No. 5 wealthiest zip code in the metro-Triad area. Triad Business Journal looked at US Census Bureau data from 2022 to make its top 25 list. The 27104 zip code in Winston-Salem is No. 3 when it comes to top home values.
