Winston-Salem has got a pulse on innovation. A manufacturer of medical products, GMAX Industries, Inc., announced its plans to invest $11.4 million in the Twin City. The manufacturing operation base will be the first of its kind in the US, creating 42 new jobs with an average salary of $63,810 in Forsyth County.
“The decision by GMAX Industries to bring manufacturing operations to Forsyth County highlights the advantages our region offers to businesses seeking growth,” Forsyth County Commissioner Don Martin said.
GMAX specializes in high-quality disposable medical supplies and essential products like medical textiles and patient bedside plastics. The 144,000-sqft facility will primarily support the regional and national distribution of its products, strengthening the healthcare supply chain in Winston-Salem.
The company will earn a performance-based grant of $75,000 from the One North Carolina Fund once it meets job creation and capital investment targets in NC.
