Lettuce help you eat local. Grab your basket and head to the downtown arts district to celebrate Trade Street Farmers Market opening weekend this Sunday, Oct. 5. Shop from over a dozen vendors between 5th and 6th streets. The market runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Local vendors include: Little Foot Matcha, Snarky Snacks, Honey Bee Hemp Farm, and Robert Rust Burritos.
Can’t make it this go around? The farmer’s market will run the first Sunday of every month with plans to operate on a weekly basis. Save these upcoming dates:

Winston-Salem’s oldest Italian restaurant, Vincenzo’s is closed. The dining spot located on Robinhood Road is currently under contract, but no word on who will be taking up the space next. “My father just turned 83 and decided it was time to close,” said Vincenzo’s manager, Richard Patella.
