Downtown Winston-Salem is making strides. The annual DTWS Partnership meeting highlighted efforts the organization is making to attract residents and visitors to the area through community events, supporting small businesses through grant programs, and clean-up efforts to improve street appearance.
Jim Brammer, CEO of Concert Stuff Group, also unveiled more details about the forthcoming amphitheater downtown, between the Benton Convention Center and First Baptist Church. Brammer said proximity to parking spaces, restaurants, bars, and shops makes the location the best spot for the live music venue that’ll host 5,000 people.
“We want to make artists come to us rather than have residents travel to nearby cities like Charlotte and Raleigh,” Brammer said.
Greater Winston-Salem has announced its 2025 Leadership Award recipients... and you might see a familiar face among the list. These 25 young professionals will be recognized for their leadership and community impact in the Twin City. Congratulations to our very own editor, Kellina W., for making the list.
