Taqueria Luciano’s, 723 N. Trade St. | ETA: Fall 2025
Local food truck owner Luciano Perez plans to open his second brick-and-mortar location in the heart of downtown. Diners can expect tacos, steak quesadillas, and other Mexican favorites.
Viva Barista Coffee, 229 W. 5th St. | ETA: Fall/Winter 2025
Owned by a young entrepreneur, the coffee shop will serve beans from El Salvador.
Istanbul Gyro & Burger, 216 W. 4th St. | ETA: Winter 2025 Get your forks ready, a new Turkish restaurant is launching soon. The family-owned dining spot will feature items like burgers, salads, and lamb doner on the menu.
Cinco Mexican Cuisine and Lounge, 206 Harvey St. | ETA: TBD
A “coming soon” sign for Cinco is marked on the storefront of P.F. Chang’s old location in Hanestowne Village. Owners have not yet replied to inquiries about its expected opening date.
Check out this new restaurant on Peters Creek Parkway. Local foodie influencer Ramon L. gives us a first look at the 777 Wings and Deli menu, featuring pork egg rolls, seasoned fries with honey garlic dip, and of course — wings. We’re totally drooling over this.
Real Estate
The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners is placing Amos Cottage on the market. The county-owned property sits on 3.2 acres of land at 3325 Silas Creek Pkwy. Bidders should submit their letter of intent showcasing their vision for the property and offer amount to Kirby Robinson to be considered.
Art
There’s still time to submit your mural design to be showcased on the 6th-Cherry-Trade parking deck. The budget ranges from $75,000 to $100,000, depending on the scope of the project. Artists have until midnight tomorrow, Oct. 24, to submit their artwork.
Biz
The City of Winston-Salem is accepting applications for the Positive Path program to help individuals reintegrate back to society after facing the justice system. Participants (ages 16-24) will earn a wage during the five-month program, while gaining career skills and earning certifications. Applications are due Sunday, Nov. 2.
Learn
Classes are in session. Hear from historians, curators, and scholars about the “Mapping American Expansion.” The two-day seminar will focus on the westward expansion of Americans in the 18th and 19th centuries. Attendees will also have access to Old Salem Museums & Gardens. Registration costs $395.
