A message from our team

It’s 6AM somewhere — in fact, if you’re reading this at 9 a.m. local time, it’s 6 a.m. in our sister market SEAtoday. Which brings us to our main point: Did you know there are newsletters just like WStoday across the country, providing the same need-to-know local news and events for their communities?

From sharing live music venues in Portland, OR to reporting on new developments in Greenville, SC, our company works hard to be local, everywhere. Support our mission.

‘Tis the season to shop

The season of gifting is upon us. Get ahead of your holiday shopping with some of our favorite seasonal markets around Winston-Salem.

Annual Holiday Craft Market | Saturday, Nov. 22 | 12-4 p.m. | The Gardens at Gray Gables, Summerfield | Stroll along the decorated garden pathways twinkling with holiday lights as you shop for handcrafted gifts, seasonal decor, baked goods, jewelry, home items, and other holiday treasures.

Reynolda Village Holiday Stroll | Saturday, Nov. 22 | 1-5 p.m. | Reynolda Village | Enjoy the magic of the holidays with carolers in Victorian costumes, carriage rides, and visits with Santa as you stroll through the historic village.

Bark The Halls Festival | Sunday, Nov. 23 | 1-5 p.m. | Tucker’s Tapyard | Don’t forget to shop for Fido this holiday season. Find the best gifts for your pet or pet owners while vibing to live music from Dasher Street Duo, plus grab pizza from Pie Guys Pizza.

P.S. We love writing stories like these — if you love reading them, support WStoday’s hyper-local mission with a monetary contribution.

This trip to High Point will be worth it. Meet this “Little Sally” — who isn’t so little. The wooden art piece made of recycled materials has been catching the attention of travelers from the region and beyond. Be aware that you’ll need to participate in a scavenger hunt to locate her in the wild by grabbing a trollmap. The showstopping art is made by sculptor Thomas Dambo, who creates installations like this across the US.
