Each day, we write the WStoday newsletter with one goal: to help you better connect with your community. And each day, our friends across the US, from Seattle to Tampa Bay, do the same.
Here at 6AM City, we know the value of investing in local media. It keeps neighbors connected and the community informed. We’re invested in improving how you experience Winston-Salem, like what events to attend + the latest city initiatives and developments to keep an eye on — all in our free newsletter. How is that sustainable, you might ask?
We partner with national brands and some of Winston-Salem’s best organizations + businesses that support our mission of bringing only good news to your inbox, but efforts don’t stop there. Over the next six days, we’re running a reader-driven campaign to help sustain the continuation of what we do best.
Maintaining our credibility + trust | Fun fact: Our company has turned down more than a million dollars in political ads since we started

The Gaslight on Main, 126 S. Main St., Ste. G, Kernersville
This upscale restaurant serves a fusion of diverse cultural experiences into one, while providing an intimate wine and dining experience. Try this: The warm mushroom crepes to start off.
Bread of Heaven, Tavern at Old Salem, 736 S. Main St.
The restaurant will keep its traditional decor, with a simple but savory menu. Think of your traditional southern meal like shrimp and grits, country ham, and corned beef hash.
Tuscani, 450 N. Patterson Ave.
The new restaurant replaced Six Hundred on Innovation Quarter. Local influencer Ramon L. gives us a tour and a review of the new upscale restaurant. We’re totally drooling over the Italian pasta options like linguini frutti di mare and the ribeye steak.
Ramen restaurant (untitled), Salem Bottleworks | ETA: Winter 2025
Owned by Bobby Boy Bakeshop owner, this restaurant will serve an array of Asian food. More info to come.
