Three boxes of Girl Scouts "exploremores" cookies are displayed outdoors on a stone surface with a lush green forest background. The packaging features a photo of smiling children lying on the grass beside stacks of chocolate cookies. The scene evokes a feeling of adventure and playfulness.

Wake up and smell the flour (and sugar). Girl Scout Cookie season is upon us — and our regional Girl Scouts of North Carolina Coastal Pines is slinging sweet treats around town.

One question: After the Thin Mints, Samoas, and Caramel deLites are all gone, what will we eat? In that disastrous scenario, we’d love to see these Winston-Salem-inspired cookie ideas come to life:

  • A fusion of Meyer Lemon Moravian cookie-flavor with the iconic shortbread, Trefoils, will add a citrus kick to your taste buds.
  • Our next idea is an easy one: Add Redclay Gourmet Pimento cheese to the menu. If you like a sweet and savory taste combined, this is for you.
  • Our final invention is the Amish cinnamon-inspired Adventurefuls. Just swipe the caramel flavor and voila — this brownie-inspired cookie is transformed into a true local gem.

Any other ideas for localized Girl Scout Cookies? Let us know.
