Have a business idea? Pitch it in a Winston-Salem Shark Tank–style competition. Two chosen winners will each receive a $5,000 grant for startup costs, and up to $5,000 in a potential matching micro-loan, plus technical assistance. Business proposals are due Monday, March 23.

The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools board is asking for feedback on a two-year strategic plan to address current challenges and keep the district aligned. The survey closes tomorrow, Feb. 11.

Take a trip to the Delta Arts Center and celebrate the work of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) artists, showcasing their voices and visions through art.

The juried invitational reception will take place Friday, Feb. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. Attendees will meet artists and creators, plus hear their personal stories behind their pieces. The exhibit will be on display through Friday, March 27.

A portion of the art sales will go toward the Delta Arts Center’s cultural programming. Entry is free and open to the public.
