Get ready to race through the streets of one of Winston-Salem’s historic neighborhoods. Ardmore RAH! is happening Saturday, Oct. 21. The event — which stands for “run against hunger” — is a fundraiser and food drive for Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC. It’s also a good way to get your steps in. Here’s how to get involved:

  • Register online for the 5K, 10K or fun run.
  • Pick up your packet on Friday, Oct. 20 between 3 and 7 pm. at Fleet Feet Winston-Salem (In Hanes Towne Village Shopping Center on Harvey Street) — or before 8 a.m. Saturday.
  • Lace up and head to Redeemer Presbyterian Church at 1046 Miller St. on Saturday. The 10K starts at 8 a.m., the fun run starts at 8:10 a.m., and the 5K begins at 9:15 a.m.

Registration fees range from $15 to $50. You can also participate virtually, make a monetary or food donation, or volunteer.
