Local male amateur chefs and their cooking teams are bringing the heat to this year’s Men Who Cook fundraiser and they knead your help to win.
The friendly competition benefits SECU Family House — a comfortable place to stay for families visiting Winston-Salem while their loved ones receive care at local hospitals. Proceeds go toward keeping the cost of overnight stays reasonable for guests.
This year’s event is happening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Forsyth Barn at Legacy Stables and Events (4151 Thomasville Rd). Here’s how to get involved:
- Purchase tickets to attend — individual tickets are $100, Wooden Spoon sponsorships cost $500, and a reserved table for 10 guests costs $1,250
- Find a chef team and “tip” them (aka make a donation)
- Make an online donation
If you attend, bring your appetite. You’ll be able to try what the teams whip up + vote for the “People’s Choice” and “Crowd Pleaser” award winners.
