Venues around Winston-Salem host music + performing arts organizations for Music Carolina SummerFest. Here’s what’s coming up in August:

  • Peter and the Wolf Family Concert | Saturday, Aug. 17 | 3 p.m. | Kaleideum | $12-$15 | A narrator and woodwind quintet perform the classic tale.
  • Jazz, Poetry and Wine | Saturday, Aug. 17 | 7:30 p.m. | Acadia Foods | $15 | The Matt Kendrick Trio and poet Spencer Aubrey perform.
  • Jazz Classique | Saturday, Aug. 24 | 7:30 p.m. | Piedmont Music Center | $10-$27 | Hear classical selections with jazz improvisation.
  • Travis Williams Group | Thursday, Aug. 29 | 7:30 p.m. | NC Museum of Art, Winston-Salem Auditorium | $10-$27 | The quintet will play original compositions.
  • Piedmont Opera — Here’s to the Ladies! | Saturday, Aug. 31 | 3 p.m. | Calvary Moravian Church | $10-$27 | Soloists and a chorus will perform Broadway songs written by women.

Concerts continue through Sept. 15. Grab tickets in advance online + arrive at least 15 minutes before showtime. Seating is first-come, first-served.
