Most of the items on this Cuban restaurant’s “Little Things” menu are under $10, including empanadas, tamales, and the Latin grilled cheese. Plus, half portions of several Mojito Bowls — bowls featuring a meat or veg, rice, beans, marinated onions, and sauces — are priced at $8.

The full-sized sandwiches here hover just around the $10 mark, but you can get a half-size of any signature sandwich (like the reuben or the grilled pimento + tomato) for $8.99. Craving soup? The grilled cheese + your choice of soup is also $8.99.

Grab a hot dog for just around $3 from this classic Winston-Salem joint that’s been around since 1910. Or, make it a combo and get two hot dogs, chips, and a drink — you’ll still come in under $10.

Krankies, 211 E. 3rd St.
This coffee and breakfast joint stays open for lunch hours — and we couldn’t recommend a biscuit smothered in gravy more. The Krankies classic biscuit is $8 and comes with fried chicken and your choice of Texas Pete and Honey or sausage gravy.

Several menu items at this delicious Mexican restaurant are $10 or less, including the quesadilla plate, burrito, four tacos, or three gorditas.

Slappy’s Chicken, 200 W. Acadia Ave.
While the chicken options don’t quite come in under $10, a bowl of Slappy’s Denver-style chicken chili does. You can also get a Side Plate with your choice of three sides + a roll for $8 — hello, mac and cheese, baked beans, and potato salad.
