  • Mozelle’s owners are getting ready to open another restaurant on Burke Street. Betty on Burke (1016 Burke St.) will feature a French and Italian-inspired menu. Expect upscale dining vibes with a cozy outdoor patio — we’ll keep you posted on an opening date.
Traffic
  • Plan for a detour if you’re driving through the 300 block of Miller Street between Cloverdale Avenue and Queen Street. Construction crews will work on Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital through Friday, Nov. 1 — alternate routes will be in place.
Real Estate
  • One of the nation’s largest homebuilders acquired over 2,000 homesites in Kernersville. Lennar Corp. plans to build townhomes, ranch homes + two-story homes with plenty of amenities including pools, pickleball courts, and a clubhouse in the 700-acre Caleb’s Creek development.   • Get a head start on your holiday shopping during Shop The Block from Thursday, Oct. 31 through Sunday, Nov. 3. Local downtown businesses will offer special discounts throughout the weekend.

  • Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC will receive a portion of proceeds from Concert for Carolina on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. Grab tickets to see Luke Combs, Eric Church, Billy String, and James Taylor perform starting tomorrow, Oct. 10.
