Downtown Winston-Salem has a new restaurant.Nosh & Grind, a coffee and sandwich shop owned by restaurant couple Chris Barnes and Carmen Johnson, is now open on Cherry Street. Barnes was also behind local spots like 6th and Vine and NOMA, while Johnson worked at 1703 Restaurant for 20+ years. (Winston-Salem Journal)

Winston-Salem-based Truliant Federal Credit Union announced plans to bring a new regional office to Charlotte (Hey, CLTtoday). The new space will not include a retail banking branch, but will serve as a primary office for commercial and mortgage lending teams. (Triad Business Journal)

The owners of Diamondback Grill on Avalon Road announced that they’re selling the restaurant — but don’t expect any major changes. New owner Tommy McDowell plans to keep the restaurant largely the same, including its name, concept, menu, chef, and staff. (Winston-Salem Journal)

Over $1 million. That’s how much the Arts Council of Winston-Salem recently announced in grant allocations for 2025. The money will go towards various organizations and artists throughout the city, including the Winston-Salem Symphony, a/perture cinema, and Triad Cultural Arts.
