Hold on tightly because this new development is taking off the ground. Winston-Salem’s new mixed-use development has entered a pivotal phase. Last December, The Grounds announced plans to create a vibrant district around Deacon Boulevard and Baity Street.
Winston-Salem based real estate investment + development firm Front Street Capital joined by Atlanta-based firm Carter laid down the groundwork of what residents and visitors can expect when it comes to the stream and greenway system.
“As we build The Grounds, we’re not just constructing buildings; we’re creating an integrated, walkable environment where nature, people, and development thrive together,” said Coleman Team, President and Managing Partner at Front Street Capital.
Key improvements include:
Revitalization of the site with over 200 native trees and plants to enhance healthy vegetation
One-mile trail loop with benches, seat walls, and open grassy areas
