👟 Get moving
Splash Pads, multiple locations | Kids can cool off at nine splash pads around the city that are open May 1 through September 25. Kids will remember dodging buckets of water and slipping down the slides.
Incendiary Brewing Co., multiple locations | On clear days you’ll find kids playing, drawing with chalk, and riding scooters around the Coalpit in downtown Winston-Salem. Kids will remember entertaining themselves with new friends—and parents will remember getting to sit back and relax.
🎳 Indoor adventures
Bowlero, 811 Jonestown Rd. | Want to give the kiddos an adventure past bedtime? Lace up your bowling shoes and hit the lanes until midnight — even on weekdays. Kids will remember staying up late with the adults.
We Rock the Spectrum Kids Gym, 309 Pineview Dr., Kernersville | Children of all abilities can explore this gym with trampolines, tunnels, crash mats, and more. Kids will remember having the chance to take a break in the calming room.
80s Drag Bingo | 7-9 p.m. | Joymongers Barrel Hall | Cost of purchase | Take it back to the 80s with Anna Yacht and Genesis De Vil for this drag bingo event.

Free Pickleball | 6-9 p.m. | Foothills Brewing Tasting Room | Free | You’ll relish being here — meet other players, purchase a pint, and stick around for a karaoke session afterward.
Wednesday, April 23
Zen & Wick | 6:30-8:30 p.m. | Lizzie’s All natural Products | $50 | Begin the evening by creating your own scented candle for at-home zen, then step into a candlelit yoga class.
Thursday, April 24
Stand Up Comedy Night | 8-10 p.m. | Radar Brewing Company | $24 | Beer Run Comedy group will perform its side-splitting stand up.
Friday, April 25
Candlelight: Tribute to Queen | 6:30-7:45 p.m. | Millennium Event Center | $24+ | Listen to songs like “Somebody to Love” and “Killer Queen” — all under the soft glow of candlelight.

Hold off on that Home Depot run — the annual leaf mulch giveaway for Forsyth County homeowners is upon us. Free mulch will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on Saturday, April 26 and Saturday, May 3 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Forum 52 Yard Waste Facility.
Open
New lunch spot Park Deli is now open in the Innovation Quarter’s Wake Forest Biotech Place building. The deli is open Monday through Friday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., with made-to-order sandwiches, salads, and grab-and-go items.
Today, Cone Health will open its second Winston-Salem urgent care location. The new care center is located in the West Edge Shopping Center — near Publix and West Edge Dental Care. (Triad Business Journal)
Mansion Monday
This 3,123-sqft home built in 2015 received the Matsumoto Prize, which recognizes the top homes in NC with Modernist residential architecture. Take a virtual walk through the kitchen, living room, elevated roof deck, and uniquely-tiled showers.
Pets
This Saturday, April 26, the annual Mutt Strut will take place at the Marketplace Mall Greenway. This year’s event will feature a 5K race, a one-mile fun walk, and a virtual race, plus music, local vendors, drinks, and food.

Make Music Day — an annual, globally celebrated event celebrating music — will return to Winston-Salem this year on Saturday, June 21. Throughout the day, locals can participate in free activities by performing or watching. See how you can participate locally.
