Spruce up your daily routine with a pep of wine and food. As part of Small Business Week, we are highlighting a small, but mighty wine bar located on Trade Street. Little Pep serves as a space for locals and visitors to wine and unwind in a relaxed atmosphere.

City Editor Kellina reached out to the owners, Anna Impson and Rebekah Rhoden, to learn more about the passion behind their business.

Why did you decide to open Little Pep?

We both come from the creative agency world and had been working from home for the past four years. Knowing this wasn’t something we wanted to do for long, we started thinking about what we wanted to see in Winston-Salem. Instead of just talking about what we wanted, we decided to make it.

What makes Little Pep special?

The people who make the wine are so serious about their craft, but to enjoy it should be fun and not stuffy or inclusive. We’re all just here for a good time, and I think that shows.

The Wrap

I have not yet been to Little Pep myself, but I’ve always admired the chill atmosphere it has whenever I walk by the storefront. When I visit soon, I’ll order Vinho Verde with Burrata tartine as a small plate. I can’t wait for our second small business highlight this week. (Hint: it might involve your favorite city editor trying out a new experience).
