New gourmet tea shop Oasis at the Mill recently hosted its soft opening in the Historic West End. Stay tuned for the official grand opening in a few months, and keep an eye out for CommunaTea events, experiences, and workshops.
Closing
Local bakery The Humble Bee Shoppe will close its doors soon. Owner Brittany took to Instagram to share that she’ll be moving to NYC to become a pastry chef. In the meantime, she’ll post a calendar of pop-ups and hours the shop is open before announcing a closing date.
Real Estate
$5.4 million. That’s how much a UNCSA affiliate paid for the building at 411 W. Fourth St. downtown. While there isn’t any word out yet on how UNCSA might use the building, it is located next to the school’s 77,500-sqft Stevens performing arts center. (Winston-Salem Journal)
