Development

A company projected to bring 44 jobs to the Twin City is in the works. Project Flower is expected to generate $1.45 million in capital improvements with a $1,000 incentive per job. City council members will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 16, at 6 p.m. at City Hall. (Triad Business Journal)

Community

Highland Avenue Park is here. After a year of construction, residents can enjoy new park features, which include a stage, basketball + pickleball courts, adjacent to 725 Highland Ave. A guided tour will be open to the public on Friday, June 13, from 10 to 11 a.m.

Pets

Save your pretty pennies because there’s no animal adoption fee from the Forsyth County Animal Shelter this month. Fill out an adoption form online or visit the shelter at 5570 Sturmer Park Circle, Thursday-Saturday from 12 to 4 p.m. to pick up your new furry companion.

Saturday, June 14 is World Blood Donor Day. The American Red Cross is ramping up efforts to save lives across the region. Schedule an appointment to donate. Blood donors will receive a $15 Amazon gift card in the month of June.
