Earlier this year, we asked readers to submit their top questions about the Twin City for us to answer. Each week, Editor Kellina will attempt to tackle a question with her best recommendations. Today, we’re starting with an anonymous reader who asked:
“I’d like to know about any events that would be fun for a couple and friends that don’t involve alcohol.”
Register for the Scherenschnitte Historic Paper Cutting on Saturday, Feb. 7 in Old Salem from 2 to 4 p.m. You’ll learn the beloved art of paper cutting adopted by Moravians in the early 19th century.
Yesterday, I shared where you can get sourdough bread, but if you’re into making your own loaf, I highly recommend stopping by Red Tail Grains at Cobblestone Farmers Market on Saturday mornings to grab locally-milled flour. They also have gluten-free, whole-grain options available.
Editor Kellina loves the soft semolina flour for baking olive cake.
