This news is music to our ears.
Outdoor benefit concert SummerLark will return to Downtown WS on Saturday, May 9, for a family-friendly evening of live music, food and drink, photo booths, fireworks, and more.
Now in its 5th year, this annual fundraising event directly supports the Cancer Patient Support Program at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist’s Comprehensive Cancer Center, which provides individual counseling, support groups, financial assistance, and other vital services for patients and their families.
(We’d be lying if we said we didn’t own the CD version of their first album.)
They’ll be taking over the stage at Bailey Park in the Innovation Quarter, allowing the audience to choose between a laid-back lawn viewing with chairs and blankets or a heart-pumping classic concert experience right in front of the stage.
🎟️ Early bird pricing ends April 25
Tickets are available now, and they’re expected to go quickly, so we recommend securing yours sooner rather than later.

Editor’s Pick

For today’s editor’s pick, I’m answering a question one of our readers asked at the start of the year.
“Now with all the new ramen shops in Winston, can you share your least favorite [...] and best value for your buck. Thank you.” — Theresa H.
Great question, Theresa. I’ll share my personal favorites. First off, Noodle Ju’B is my top spot. Here’s my review of it. This is perfect for sitting down and enjoying your meal — no takeout. Ramen Mafia, located downtown, comes in second, then Don Express on Knollwood Street. Both have takeout options and plenty of ramen flavors to choose from.
Do you have a favorite ramen spot? Hit reply and let me know.
