The stage is set for the remarkable new work, “Johnny Loves Johann,” presented by Kenan Institute for the Arts and debuting at UNCSA Friday, May 1, for a three-day limited run.
Led by GRAMMY-winning violinist and 2024 MacArthur Fellow Johnny Gandelsman, this powerful performance blends a folk-inspired violin interpretation of Bach’s Cello Suites with all-original choreography and performances by John Heginbotham, Caili Quan, Jamar Roberts, and Melissa Toogood.

ÉTÉ Pilates is opening a second studio this summer with a new twist. ÉTÉ Megafusion will deliver a Pilates-inspired mat workout using light to moderate resistance. The wellness spot is hiring instructors. Send your resume to the team to be considered. We’ll keep you posted on an exact opening date.

Chronic Guru will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, April 25, at 6 p.m. The cannabis dispensary spot is located at 279 W. 4th St., across Heff’s Burger Club. The shop will donate 5% of its grand opening proceeds to H.O.P.E. of WS. Take a peek of the space inside.

Truliant Federal Credit Union and Piedmont Advantage Credit Union are merging. The combined credit union will operate under the Truliant name with ~$6 billion in assets. The two credit unions will continue to operate independently until the deal closes by early 2027.
