Every time we look around, it seems like something new is popping up in the Twin City. Whether you’re looking for your next coffee shop destination or a new public park to stretch your legs, we’re rounding up a few things coming soon to Winston-Salem.

Business

Purple Crow , Reynolds Boulevard | Opening date TBD | The company plans to invest $50 million and generate 199 new jobs by 2028 as part of the expansion.

The Crest , 102 S. Cherry St., | April 2024 | The historic venue will be a one-stop shop for those looking to tie the knot — the carriage house is set to be completed in the upcoming months.

Community

Salem Parkway Multi-Use Path West , Downtown Winston-Salem | Opening date TBD | The new pathway connection between Peters Creek Parkway and Truist Stadium to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist will have pedestrian-friendly roads to encourage walkability.

La Barberia Social Club , 5583 Robin Lark Circle | May 2024 | More than just a haircut or a trim, customers will have access to pool table, video games, and more to keep themselves entertained before their appointment.

This new barbershop is taking it to a whole new level, offering a space for people to socialize in between appointments.

Dutch Light Bar , 450 N. Patterson Ave. | Summer 2024 | The craft cocktail bar features a greenhouse-style design environment on the second level at Bailey Park.

Simply Sonya’s , 985 Peters Creek Pkwy. | Spring/Summer 2024 | The restaurant’s menu includes wings, oxtails, banana pudding, and peach cobbler.

Wingstop , 656 Hanes Mall Blvd. | TBD | The menu includes 11 flavors of wings, including hand-cut fries, corn, veggie sticks, brownies and sodas.

Eggs Up Grill , 1965 N. Peace Haven Rd. | Summer 2024 | The restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch, and brunch seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Irie Plates restaurant , 1539 Hanes Mall Blvd. | Spring 2024 | The Jamaican restaurant will serve food like jerk chicken, oxtail, curry goat, and more.

Simply Sonya’s serves Southern comfort foods + hosts various events weekly.

Coliseum Park Plaza , 711 Coliseum Plaza Ct. | Fall 2024 | The hub will have sensory gyms, treatment rooms, and a demonstration kitchen to serve local children and families.

Bruson Elementary School , 1201 Patterson Ave. | TBD | The new budget for this location amounts to $52.4 million after County Commissioners revised the project in late December 2023.

Recreation

Name TBD (Mini ROAR) , 3456 Robinhood Rd. | Winter 2024/Spring 2025 | The new location will offer a family-friendly environment and entertainment options for children.

Retail

Fiddle & Fig, 107 S. Stratford Rd. | Fall 2024 | The home decor shop will move into a larger retail space, occupying the 9,400 sqft. Until then, you can still shop at its current location on 403 W. End Blvd.

Residential

Choice Neighborhoods , 1135 E. 15th St. | Fall 2027 | Although Phase 1 (Brown
School site) was completed earlier this year, the new community will eventually consist of three-story senior living, townhomes, apartments, and outdoor spaces for families.
The Sutton , Robinhood Road @ Meadowlark Drive | TBD | The new luxury apartment complex will feature studios, one, two, and three bedrooms with a shopping center nearby.

Vecino Center for Language and Culture LLC , Mobile locations | October 2023 | The center provides a social hub and environment to learn new languages and explore different cultures through intensive classes and workshops.

The CMPND , 231 W. 4th St., Ste. 201 | December 2023 | The creative space provides tools and resources for musicians to further pursue their craft and manage their business.

The living room features a cozy and creative space for creators while overlooking the downtown scenery.

The Artreaux , 950 N. Trade St. | June 2023 | The new luxury apartment complex sits at the edge of Industry Hill neighborhood with close proximity to distilleries, breweries, and entertainment venues.

Intergenerational Center for Arts and Wellness , W. 30th St. | Jan. 2024 | The 62,000 sqft building brings together 21 local health care providers, arts organizations, and nonprofits in one space, offering classes and workshops for all ages.

Two Cities Church , 1001 N. Patterson Ave. | December 2023 | The new facility occupies about nine acres in Industry Hill and serves as a central worship space for the community.

Sushi Rose , 247 E. 5th St. | May 2024 | The Japanese-Latin dining experience comes with cocktails and wine — menu items include signature torched jalapeños, crispy rice tuna, nigiri, and sashimi tiradito.

Dive Bar , 1131 Burke St., | April 2024 | The arcade bar experience is geared toward 21+ adults and features pool tables, games, and more.

Easy Tiger , 2108 S. Broad St. | April 2024 | The sport formally known as Southside Beer Garden comes with a new ownership and a renovated interior. Expect lots of patio space and green plants.

Lasso Gaucho , 115 S. Main St. | February 2024 | The Brazilian steakhouse offers an upscale atmosphere with a cozy lounge area — whether you want a full dining experience or a casual happy hour.

Spotted Cow Steakhouse , 529 N. Trade St. | February 2024 | The boutique steakhouse offers a wide variety of plates on the menu including tender filet mignon and ribeyes steak in a family-friendly atmosphere.

Lot 63 , 614 S. Main St. | February 2024 | Located in the heart of Old Salem, the new coffee house and taproom also serves as a time capsule of the town’s unique Moravian origin.

Kin and Cottage , 608-A Trade St. NW, | November 2023 | The shop features a wide range of wood wick candles, hand-dipped incense, and wax melts that change every season.

Bella and James , 839 Reynolda Rd. | March 2024 | The children’s boutique will feature apparel, accessories, and home items for kids.

Fancy Groceries , 562 N. Trade St. | March 2024 | The new space will feature live music, a place to gather, and a new line of women’s clothing.
