Winston-Salem’s LGBTQ+ international film festival returns for its 11th year with film screenings, parties, and workshops. OUT at the Movies is hosting events around the Twin City Thursday, Oct. 3-Sunday, Oct. 6.

The nonprofit organization was founded in 2004 to celebrate the best of LGBTQ+ cinema and highlight the community and its allies. Organizers saw a 40% increase in submissions for this year’s festival. A total of 43 films will be screened over four days.

“There were seven or eight feature films that absolutely would have made the festival slate in previous years that didn’t make the cut in 2024. But we are planning to show some of these as part of our year-round screening series,” said Executive Director Rex Welton.

You can purchase an all-access festival pass for $75. Showtimes, synopses, and tickets to all events are available online.
