Nominate a project that contributes to community appearance

This award selection will honor those that make a positive impact in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County.

Know a person or group that have made an impact on the Winston-Salem and Forsyth County? The Community Appearance Commission wants to hear from you.

You can nominate projects, places, individuals, or organizations in the community for the 2025 Community Appearance Awards. Nomination categories include:

  • Residential/neighborhood projects
  • Commercial projects
  • Historic rehabilitation/restoration projects
  • Public/civic projects
  • Landscaping design and conservation projects
  • Individuals and organizations

Nominations are due on Friday, Oct. 18. You can mail or drop it in person at City-County Planning and Development Services Department or email Project Planner Daniel Rankin. Projects that have previously received an award are not eligible for a second award. Past winning projects include Bailey South, Robert Hall, and the Green Street Pedestrian Bridge. An award ceremony will be held late spring 2025.
