When it comes to the Twin City’s shopping scene, we love a good treasure hunt — and a good bargain. Our city is home to several stellar swap meets, cool co-ops, fabulous vintage shops, consignment stores, and resale gems. So get in, we’re going shopping.

Flea market

Cooks Flea Market | Sop at NC’s largest indoor flea market Saturdays + Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and includes a farmers market. Explore a variety of handmade crafts, collectibles, and antiques — food truck vendors are on site.

Buy, Sell and Trade

Style Encore | Shop for or sell gently used clothes, shoes, handbags, and accessories. Get cash on the spot for the items you bring in. The store caters to men and women.

The Snob Shop | The woman-operated shop has been open 50 years in the Twin City. Shop designer items, home decor, and clothing. New consignors must schedule an appointment and bring 20 items for the crew to review before installing it on the floor.

Uptown Cheapstake Winston-Salem | This stores tailors mostly to teens and young adults so make sure to bring in items that are currently in style. No need for an appointment — just bring your clothes an hour before close. Don’t forget to thrift.

Resale and consignment shops

Yours Truly Consignment Shop | Whether you’re looking for a fun plaid top, cozy sweater, or statement dress, this store has new favorites you can add to your wardrobe for the season.

Elizabeth’s at Hanes Park | Find your next treasure at this home goods store in West End. Find vintage pieces, artwork, new and restored furniture and home goods.

The Barn on Country Club Road | This gem is not to be overlooked. You can find furniture, decor, custom built tables + collectibles like vinyl records and retro items.

Winston-Salem Vintage Show | Get your seasonal fit at this mobile vintage shop at Wise Man Brewing while the DJ keeps the live ambiance. Stay tuned on its social media page to find out when the next lineup is happening.

Design Archives™ Vintage & Handmade Emporium | Located inside a quaint art deco building, this shop showcases good from over 150 vendors with a focus on whimsical and quirky designs.

Goat Feathers Antiques & Collectibles | Discover unique items from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

Major Tomms Oddities & Vintage | Aside from shopping, this vintage store is also known for “faux”tographs, uniquely captured portraits reminiscent of earlier funeral photographs, before caskets.

Happy Hour Vintage | This woman-owned small business does not fail when it comes to showcasing trendy and chic clothing items and accessories. Visit the store Saturdays from 12 to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m.

Still Grimey | This gem brings the vibes and the fashion. You’ll find vintage school spirit clothing and limited-edition items which gets restocked every week.

Shop for a cause

Pinwheels | Shop for a wide range clothing items for infant through adult, including shoes and accessories. Every purchase you make goes toward resources for families through The Parenting PATH nonprofit organization.
