City officials will select five residents to serve two-year terms on the civil service board. Applicants must live in Winston-Salem and be registered to vote in Forsyth County. Submit your applications by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31.

Get rid of expired and unused medication safely at the ninth annual Forsyth County Drug Take-Back Day between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. today. Bring prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs, sharps, and pet medications to Bolton Elementary School.

Forsyth County officials broke ground on Monday for a new agricultural park at 7240 Doral Dr. in Tobaccoville. Phase one of the park will include walking trails, a cooperative extension facility, a meeting center + an outdoor riding ring.
