Imagine your dream life in the Twin City. Maybe you’re thinking less humidity, a better transit system, and freebies from your favorite local spots — but it can’t be that easy, right? We make the hypothetical rules here, and we asked our readers to share which of these two options:

  1. Free parking downtown
  2. More sidewalks
  3. $500 rent forever
  4. Unlimited funds to shop local
  5. Better traffic flow on I-40

The top two answers were: free parking downtown (62%) and $500 rent forever (47%). We took to Instagram to ask our followers too and the biggest winner came to free parking downtown.

It sounds like parking is the biggest concern — and we hear you. The city is planning to bring in a company that would implement new equipment like updated meters and gate arms. This project is part of the 10-year Downtown Plan to accommodate residents and visitors as the city continues to grow.
