You won’t go hungry with the 10-gallon tray from East of Texas.

Get ready to make reservations. Eat. Drink. Restaurant Week returns Monday, Oct. 23 through Sunday, Oct. 29. You can try special menu items and specialty cocktails from more than 60 Triad restaurants, breweries, and bars. Half are in and around Winston-Salem, which means you won’t have to travel far for a good meal.

Some businesses will be showcasing special items you’ll only be able to taste during the week-long event. Others will be featuring customer favorites that are staples on the menu. Here are a few drinks + dishes that have us drooling:

  • Eastern Standard, 1131 Burke St.| Apple cider mule made with vodka, ginger beer, lime juice, apple cider, fresh apples and cinnamon
  • Spring House Restaurant, Kitchen and Bar, 450 N. Spring St. | Three-course chef’s tasting with buttermilk fried chicken atop a pimento cheese waffle with sawmill gravy and hot honey drizzle — served with lobster bisque and a house salad
  • Forsyth Seafood Market and Cafe, 108 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. | Chilled seafood tower featuring peel-and-eat shrimp with NC oysters on the half shell
  • Oh’ Calcutta, 310A W. 4th St. | Chingri Malai Curry made with fresh ginger garlic and tomato paste with garam masala, turmeric red chili powder, coconut cream, green chili, and garnished with cilantro

We suggest wingin’ it at Hungry Palate.

Many of the recipes will incorporate Duke’s mayo as a nod to the event’s sponsor. You can find a full list of participating restaurants and their specials here.

This is the third season Triad Food and Beverage Coalition has hosted the event. The goal is to support local restaurateurs and chefs who create fresh and flavorful creations for residents to enjoy.
