In 1975, Senior Services opened one of the first adult day services programs in North Carolina. In the 50 years since, it has provided invaluable care to older adults living with memory loss and/or frailty. The Elizabeth and Tab Williams Adult Day Center has received national recognition as the best adult day center in the US twice: in 2010 and 2024.

The 15,465-sqft center offers:

  • Stimulating daily activities to promote memory, movement, and socialization, like beach ball chair volleyball
  • Music and art programming
  • Visits from therapy animals
  • Intergenerational programming with children from the adjacent child development center

These opportunities allow older adults to thrive in their daily lives and offer crucially needed respite for their care partners.

To celebrate 50 years, gifts made to the Senior Services’ 50 Days of Giving campaign will be doubled by generous community supporters through Friday, June 27, up to a total of $50,000.
