1Love Festival, Winston-Salem’s vibrant annual gathering honoring the richness of African Diasporic culture, returns on Thursday, June 26 for its fifth anniversary.

The three-day festival is a celebration of culture, creativity, and community through music, art, wellness, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Celebrations come to a crescendo with the concert at The Ramkat Saturday, June 28. Grab tickets to jam out to headliner Chelsea Green and The Green Project, and beats by DJ SK.

New this year

“Re-Storying and Re-Covering: Coded Competencies in Theology, Faith and Wellness in African American Communities,” is a new learning institute co-hosted by Wake Forest University’s School of Divinity Faith COMPASS Center.

It’s free to partcipate, but registration is required to join in on conversations led by guest speakers.

The addition of Coded Competencies reflects the belief at the core of 1Love: storytelling has the power to heal, reclaim identity, and build community.
