Whether Cupid’s arrow has struck or you’re looking for an event for friends or singles, share the love at these Valentine’s Day happenings in Twin City.

For the whole family

Start the celebrations early with dancing, games, and of course, chocolate at the Kaleideum on Friday, Feb. 7. Tickets are $10 for members, $15 for non-members; registration closes at 12 p.m., Feb. 6.

For your BookTok best friends

Bookmarks is hosting Galentine’s Meet and Mingle on Thursday, Feb. 13, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Attend for activities, refreshments, and conversations around women in literature.

For the single-and-ready-to-mingle crowd

Singles in their 30s + 40s are invited to Valentine’s edition speed dating on Thursday, Feb. 13, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tickets are $75 — that’s a fair price for meeting your Valentine, right?

For the crafters

If vision boards are the January craft, Valentines are the February craft. Head to the Mixxer Makerspace on Thursday, Feb. 13, 6-8 p.m. to meet other makers and craft handmade cards. RSVP online.

For someone who loves the arts

Nothing’s as romantic as sitting shoulder to shoulder while the curtain rises. Grab tickets to August Wilson’s “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” at The Little Theatre of Winston-Salem on Friday, Feb. 14. You and your date can enjoy complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres at the opening night reception starting at 6:30 p.m.

For someone fluent in the universal language

Dance, that is. Lovers of romance might enjoy the Winston Salem Scottish Rite Valentine’s Day Dance on Friday, Feb. 14, 6-9:30 p.m. Tickets include a three-course meal, beer and wine, and dancing at the Winston-Salem Masonic Center on Country Club Road.

Bring a date or come solo to Reynolds Place Theatre on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. for salsa, bachata, and other Latin dances. Tickets are $24 and include an introductory salsa lesson before the social dance kicks off.
