#GivingTuesday is a global movement to encourage acts of kindness that make our communities stronger. We’ve rounded up five organizations that are participating in the movement + four locations where you can drop off donations for undeserved neighbors.

Fundraising

Bookmarks | Your donation will contribute to literacy efforts in the community — from author visits to big events like the Festival of Books and Authors. Help the nonprofit organization unlock a $10,000 match by donating during the 24-hour challenge.

Kaleideum | Support free field trips for students, hands-on learning labs, lower-cost admission for families, and more. You can make a direct impact donation or a general gift of any amount.

Winston-Salem Urban League | Help the organization reach its goal of $5,500, which will fuel job training and career development opportunities for local youth.

Mixxer Community Makerspace | Join the year-end Momentum fundraiser to support youth programming and a development series for entrepreneurs while creating an inclusive environment for everyone.

SECU Family House | Help the nonprofit raise $20,000 to provide 12 days of cheer and 12 nights of rest for the entire Family House during the month of December. For every $60 donation, a patient and caregiver are provided with one night of rest.
